The game requires the use of the mouse to cut and create ropes that guide the Future Buddies to their time machine. These can be attached to red nodes or other friends to create a path. During your guide to every level it is important to avoid obstacles such As spikes and enemies that can harm the friends. Each level has also stars that you can collect to earn bonus points adding an additional challenge to the gameplay.

The game is split in various worlds and The levels become more difficult as you progress with new puzzles and obstacles.
